Dr. Elizabeth Kubler-Ross wrote about the stages of dying, which became a well-known and accepted theory for how persons experience their own death process.  The “stages” include denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.  Learn more about this theory by clicking here.  


As presented by Kubler-Ross, these were the recognized stages of dying.  Unfortunately, confusion ensued, and these stages were assumed to be the stages of grieving.  The GRI/GRM teaches that there are no stages of grieving.
