For those trained as GRMS beginning 1/1/2018 or those trained earlier who have signed the 2018 License and Service Agreement, an annual renewal fee/process is required.

During the first year of renewing a license, there will be a 15-question basic quality assurance quiz, which must be completed and passed successfully. The annual renewal fee is then assessed upon successful completion of that quiz. In subsequent years, no quiz is required, just the expectation of paying the renewal fee.

In addition, for the AGRMS and Online Capabilities Trained GRMSs, there is a second, separate renewal fee assessed annually at the anniversary date of when they completed their initial Advanced or Online Capabilities Training component.

Renewal fees will also have a 60-day grace period before the GRMS is denied access to the SRC and expected to cease providing GRM services. If the AGRMS or Online Capabilities renewal has lapsed, those GRMS will not be permitted to continue to provide GRM services online until that certification is renewed. They may continue providing in-person services as long as their basic certification renewal is current.
