Recovery Components (RC) are the basic categories of undelivered communications needed to bring recovery. Specifically, they are Apologies, Forgiveness, and Significant Emotional Statements.

Upon completing their Relationship Graph, participants are asked to identify the undelivered emotional communications they need to say to the person on their Relationship Graph and categorize them into these three types of statements.

The Recovery Component format was revised in 2019 to include a brief story element and, more importantly, the feelings associated with that event or incident. Additional information and examples of these statements can be found on the SRC (Specialist Resource Center) in the GRM Continued Learning tab under “Recovery Components Updated!”
