Some individuals work in professions that require them to earn a set number of “continuing education units” throughout the year or other periods to ensure that those professionals continue to learn new material and skills and keep up with the advancements in their profession. Examples of those professions include social workers, teachers, nurses, etc.

The GRI may provide CEU for certain professions for completing the initial 4-day certification training. In addition, when GRMS provide the Helping Children with Loss (HCWL) course for certain professions, they may also qualify for CEU.

The GRI does not provide those hours. The school or organization sponsoring the HCWL course would be responsible for applying and securing such hours. These may be known as PDU, Professional Development Units, in the United Kingdom.
