Certified Grief Recovery Specialist (CGRS) was the original designation given to those who completed the certification training and practiced the GRM and related programs in their area.
This term was updated in 2018 to Grief Recovery Method Specialist (GRMS) when other organizations began using the phrase grief recovery specialist in their marketing efforts.
